On the first page of this thread there is a chart that says the D7900 and up have Micro Dimming plus as opposed to the D7000 which just has Micro dimming. Plus the chart as well.

Looks like someone gets to start the official D8000/D7000 thread.

Considering last years 7000/8000 thread has 5,856 posts, you'll be famous

By the way, the Cnet poll linked above has the D8000 losing, so you guys need to get over there and vote.

D8000 thread is already started? Where?

I got my 46D8000 today and installed in the living room. My first impression is black is very good and so is the 3D & thin bezel.
Maybe this weekend, I can post some pics and more comments on my D8000.

Is there any difference between the D6000 and the D6300 other than the D6300 having a web browser?

I've seen the UN46D6300 listed for $1499. On the same website, I saw the UN46D6000 listed for $1167. $332 for a web browser cannot be the only difference....can it?

Does the D6300 have the thinner bezel? A better panel? On the spec sheet, the D6000 actually has more inputs. The D6000 has a component audio input, 1 component video input, 2 composite video inputs, and 4 HDMI inputs. The D6300 is only listed as having 4 HDMI inputs. The 6300 might very well have all those inputs, but that is what the spec sheet lists.

Still, I find it very hard to believe that $332 gets you a web browser on your TV.

It could be confirmed that there is no micro dimming plus, but I still believe the d8000 will be the better tv.

Official german press release says that there is no difference except the bezel. can't believe that there's a difference between europe and us.

I thought I read somewhere that d7900 and d8000 were same except no glasses with the 7900, so I expect at least same for 7000. Maybe the remote too?
The remote I saw at frys for the d8000 looked same as for the d64000 but maybe they just didn't want to put a fancier one out for someone to take?

There are always differences between the US (UN series) and EU/UK/AUS (UE / UA series) models -- things like the feature set, sizes, PVR, tuner. The product differences matrix in the OP is taken from the Amazon US site. Of course, it's all subject to change.

No way is there a $400-500 difference just for the color of the bezel.

that are features and not "main properties" like micro dimming.

My understanding is that the D8000 comes with two pairs of 3D glasses (bluetooth) and the D7000 does not. That said, hard to believe that the two pairs of glasses, alone, justify the $400 to $500 price difference.

Well from the link Phoenix92 ~20 posts back, the chart says that both the D7000 and D8000 come with 3D glasses (so much conflicting information!). And if that's the case, then you'd be paying $400-500 for just the bezel color difference and one more pair of 3D glasses?

I saw that table. I personally don't think the "3D glasses in box" row is accurate. Typically, Samsung will upsell you the glasses (with the exception of the high level offering -- i.e., the D8000). Based on historical behavior, I doubt that the D6750, D7000 and D8000 will all come with 3D glasses in the box (absent a "starter pack" bundle that is sometimes offered as a limited-time special).

Edit: exchanged "table" for "chart" in the first sentence of the second paragraph.

This is taken from the European line-up show report. It confirms there is no 65" model for EU from Samsung for this season. It may still appear in H2 as I think it was with the 65" C series last year.
