I attached two pictures of 46D8000 TV.

As you saw from other reviews, its black & PQ is very nice. Samsung's MD+ is equivalent to LG LEX8's local dimming.

Also I measured the power consumption for 46" and it was 85-90W for watching TV and 100W for playing 3D BDs.

For more PQ tests and other calibration, I'll post them in the new official D8000 thread later.

Yeah. I got two 3d glasses. Additional I bought one more for my kid. But no touch screen remote. It's only for int'l buyers? Instead, Samsung will ship Galaxy tab wifi to me as a promo.

Hey, please post some (I mean a lot of ) pics.

My experience is that the TVs look smaller when they're on display than when they are at home. Depends on how far you sit from the set. I live in a modest apartment and so I sit about 7 feet (from TV to eyes) and my 46 inch looks nice and big and overpowering. (I have a Samsung from 2006.) Yet when I see the same 46-inchers at Best Buy, and I'm examining them from 4 feet away, they look puny. The thing about TV is once you start concentrating on the picture even a small TV can seem to fill up your vision.

According to Vanns.com the D7900 comes with qwerty remote and 3d glasses vouchers. If so whats the difference between a 7900 and a 8000?

http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/it..._c=site_search.

"Qwerty remote and 3D glasses redemption vouchers
Due to mis-timed production, the Qwerty remote and 3D glasses that are included with the purchase of the D7900 series televisions were not included in the box. However, there is a redemption voucher for both items. Mail the vouchers directly to Samsung, and they will ship the remote and 3D glasses to you.

Included with purchase
Included with your purchase are: UN55D7900, swivel stand, QWERTY remote redemption voucher, Samsung Bluetooth 3D glasses redemption voucher, user guide"

Also Vanns makes no mention of micro dimming + with the 7900 but does comment on it on the 8000 page.

I had the same question, what makes the d8000 more expensive then the d7900 if they have the same features and come with the same accessories? I blame Samsung for all this conflicting misinformation out there. I asked an ABT Rep and they couldn't find any difference besides styling. I still plan on getting a d8000 but the d7900 was looking attractive with its cheaper price. In a few weeks when people start getting these TVs at home hopefully things will be cleared up.

I posted a similar question over in the plasma thread, but I'm interested in getting some info on the new LED-LCD models as well:

I'm interested in the D7900/8000, which would replace my Samsung DLP HLR5078W. I've seen plenty of comparisons between LED-LCD and plasma, but none vs DLP. Does anyone have any info or links that they could share to help me out? I'm curious about how LED-LCD compare to DLP in regards to lag for gaming, handling motion, and overall PQ. Thanks in advance for any help!

Just went to best buy and bought the 46 D7000. The bundle included 2 3D glasses with the shrek/megamind 3D bluray. Nothing was in stock at the store so it will be shipped on Wednesday. They just put out the 55 D7000 on display and it looked awesome but I couldn't justify spending an extra $700 for it yet. Depending on how the 46 looks I may have to bite the bullet and get the 55. They had the D8000 on the display and I have to admit the bezel looked 10x better on the C8000.
