Turn off AMP (auto motion plus) under picture settings->advanced.

Congrats on the new TV. Can you post some pictures on the D6000 owners thread?

Samsung UN55D6400, Comcast HD DVR, Infinity TSS-1200 speakers, Pioneer VSX-1120k

Just set auto motion to off. That is what gives you the soap opera effect. You can set it to clear which will give u a little motion but also gives you a little better picture rather than going with off. You can always use custom too, make your own motion settings to your liking.

Hit menu on your remote,go to picture, use arrows keys move down to picture settings,go down to auto motion and choose off or whatever you want.

Make sure you don't have game mode or any eco/energy settings turned on. If so turn them off.
