Hello All,

just picked up a 46" D6000. It defaults to Dynamic picture so I went ahead and set it to Standard and adjusted some settings, backlight, contrast, sharpness etc. After I turn the tv off and back on, it defaults back to Dynamic! What am i doing wrong?

thanks for help.

After changing the Standard settings what did you do to save them before you turned the TV off to insure that Standard Mode with your new settings was the default mode for the port you are using?

Many tv's behave like this when running in 'demo mode' (for in-store display)

It's in Store Mode. If you have the manual or if the set has an onscreen manual feature go to troubleshooting and scroll down to the item that says "picture settings change after 30 minutes" or something like that. If you don't have the manual try this--with the input button select TV, then enter the menu go to system or setup, select "plug & Play" and you should be able to put it in "Home" mode.

Wow, a week-long headache just went away. Started using a Samsung 32" LCD TV that had been in storage for a while, and got that black screen every ten minutes and Standard settings wiped out. Was unaware of the Plug and Play sequence to change to Home mode. Gotta love AVS forum!biggrin.gif

Just had to sign up to say a massive thank you. You have saved my ears from being bent by my elderly father... he was getting frustrated at having to reset his picture settings every time he switch on. Your post here was the answer.... Thank you
