I want the thinnest TV (width wise ) that I can get, without the bells and whistles of 'internet capable', etc. I just don't need that stuff and don't want to pay for it. (I don't even need a tuner !).
Current I have a Samsung UN46C6500. I use none of the extras. This is hooked up to my HTPC via HDMI. No Cable.
I want a bigger screen. What is a good value TV in this regard.
Just bought my parents a Vizio 60hz 42" LCD with front firing speakers for better sound since they wont have surround for 442.00 shipped to my door. Online auctions on SAM CLUB. wALK IN PRICE WAS 528 PLUS TAX. nO BELLS AND WHISTLES AND THAT is as cheap as you will find. Vizio is highly rated by Consumer reports and I have had a
Vizio IN MY BEDROOM FOR COUPLE YEARS.
Best buy had a 46" RCA with no bells and whistles in their add for 499.00.
I didn't care for the down firing speakers but the pic was very good.
