My LCD monitor seems to have recently developed some very faint, black splotches in random areas. They're nearly impossible to see most of the time, but when viewing a pure white background, they become quite obvious.

Because I can't take a screenshot, and because it would be extremely difficult to take a photo, I decided to make a mockup of the problem in photoshop. The attached image is what my monitor looks like when viewing a pure white background.

Does anyone see what I'm talking about? Very faint, but still concerning. I've been cleaning my monitor recently... I haven't applied to much pressure, have I? Are they pressure markings? More importantly, is there anything I can do to fix it? It's a fairly new monitor, and it would be disappointing to find out I'm SOL.

For the record, I'm using an HP 2311x.

Thanks for your help guys.
