So I simply had to go bigger cuz my 70" Sharp was just getting so small and shrinking fast !!!!!!

I was going to wait for the new'er 80" Sharp 844 but I happen to walk into my local BB yesterday and they offered me a KILLER deal on the 80 incher that I just could not pass up.

One of the reasons I was going to wait for the new'er Sharp 80 incher is for the 3D option but I HATE active 3D so I also picked up a 47" LG for when Im in the mood for some passive 3D viewing.

LOVE my new 80 incher !!!!!!!!!!

Cheers
Davyo

In this picture: My 70 incher still wall mounted with the 80 incher getting ready to take its place on the wall video bliss !!!!

In this picture: the 80 incher wall mounted (final install not completed, wires and stuff to be hidden) with 47" LG waiting to get unboxed, with the 70 incher sitting on the floor getting ready to go to its new home (sold it to a friend)

nice Davyo, I remember you from the Panasonic S2 threads. Do you have a Plasma anymore. I recently became a convert to Leds, picked up a un46c8000 and now wish to sell both my other plasmas for a high end LEDs.

This hobby is more expensive than sportbikes!!

Hey Honda,,,,,, na,,, not doing plasma's anymore,, I sold my 60" Kuro and my 65" Panasonic plasma's.

While there are a few very nice plasma's out there from Panasonic and Samsung, Im more into the LED look,,,,,, and no way could I go back to a tiny 65 inch screen size

An 80" picture make's a 65" screen look like a postage stamp !!!!!

Cheers

Hey can I ask a favor please? Can you post a pic of a person in front of the sets, for scale? Same focal length would be great.

Also, what's your viewing depth?

TIA

Stuck up, half witted, scruffy looking, nerf herder.

My viewing distance is around 9 1/2 feet.

I will find a scantly clad woman to photograph in front of the 80 incher.

Cheers

Lulz. Not sure that's the best way for me to convince my wife we should get this set!

I guess though that 11.5' would be fine for me then!!
