I need help! I've narrowed it down...can you help me choose between the following:

-Vizio XVT3D650SV
-LG 65LW6500

I'd really love to hear if anyone here has some experience with both of these panels and can tell me if one has any stand out features. I am fairly educated on these but I'm sure the EXPERTS here know way more.

Any help would be so much appreciated.

THANKS!

Kevin

Do the stats even mean anything when the Vizio claims a 1,000,000 to 1 contrast ration and the LG claims a 9,000,000 to 1?

I have not seen the vizio but I have seen the LG and it is a piece of crap. 65" edge-lit LED, horrible uniformity, and even worse very noticeable vertical banding, The only 65" sets I'd consider are the Sony HX929 or a Samsung (64")/Panasonic plasma.

There are two basic versions of the 70" Sharp. The 7xx series have the quatron panel with added yellow subpixel and start at 2500ish. The 632 lacks the yellow subpixel (no significant loss) and is the best bang for the buck. Only the 735 series has 3D.

Kevin

if you have the room for this one, it is an excellent panel for the money. note what steve said the 632 series DO NOT have 3d if this is a factor to you.

I am a little concerned about the 3D. Let's be honest. I've used 3d like 5 times since ive had my other tv that has it. The real loss will be on games! UNCHARTED 3 was AWESOME in 3d.

Not sure if that limited benefit just gets blown out of the water by the extra screen real estate though!

And I just found another place online that will do $1650 DELIVERED! no extra tax or nothin!

Man....hard decisions.

And the experts here think it will be a noticeable picture quality enhancement over the vizio 65? That's what I have now and am thinking of returning.

This. Just buy the Sony. Worry about how to pay for it later.

I'll be honest with you. You should really look into a plasma. Preferably a Panasonic ST,GT, or VT. the prices on the 65 inches are great and the VT is probably the best all around 65 inch 3D set out. You won't have any uniformity issues like with LED and the black levels and off axis viewing stay consistent also unlike LED. Just my opinion. Honestly don't understand why some one would want to spend more money on a lesser technology.

Let me guess... You have a Panasonic Plasma right? Not everybody like their products. I don't resonate with anything Panasonic and I've tried their products a couple of times. They also have their own share of problems. If there's a flatscreen TV without a hundred complaints on the Internet I'd like to see it.
