I have watched netflix streaming movies on the LG LE8500 and the Vizio XVT3SV last year. Although Netflix says that they are HD, it did not appear to be of very good quality. Is Netflix SD really?

Are there new TVs out this year that improve on the netflix quality over these two TVs?

The PQ is very much dependant on your connection speed ..

Agree. Connection speed is the biggest thing for PQ. I have xbrhx929 and the netflix app is fine. But when using the ps3 I can see it's little better PQ. But I was looking for it, my wife can't tell.

XBR55HX929/HT-CT550W, LN46A750/HT-WS1R, PS3 60g(now 320g WDblack), Xbox 360 60g, Wii, Gaming PC. Xbox Live:Fordlighting, PSN:Gatorsnack.

Thanks! Seems like I read somewhere, that some TV upscaled netflix to make it look better.

I wonder if they were talking about SD signals instead? Or was it DVDs?

Netflix has a 1080P stream which is outstanding. It is available on certain Roku 2's, the WD Live Streaming device, among others.
