It cost almost $500. They had to take the TV back to their shop in large van!
The name of the place, if it matters, was Dean's TV Repair in Austin, TX.

Thanks, were in PA. Before I said I'd goog the innerweb , he already said he's ready to get a new one. He said he liked the ways ours displays, and ours is a DLP Samsung HL-S6767W. He thought it was newer than his and it's many years older. The thing has held up though, only had to replace the lamp.

So how should i handle this, i have a sharp lc 70le733u that i brought from sams club with a credit card i think visa or master card. It has developed the dreaded white clouds or white blobs on a dark screen. Luckily i brought the 3 year extended warranty. I called it in and sent them pictures. They sent me an email that they will send a tech person out and its a simple circiut board change.is this a repairable problem now? From my research this not repairable. If you had this problem with extra warranty tell me your experience and how they solved your problem. How should i proceed i dont want to get screwed.

For anyone that's still left here. I had extended warranty I purchased directly from.sharp for $00. I have a few white specs on my TV and sharp gave me 2 options, get a refurb or a check for $1000 and I keep the TV. I took the money and am using it to go towards a new set
