Under audio settings/digital output it was on 2 channel, switching to surround made it louder and consistent with the apps in the tv/blu ray/etc

Have fun getting everything up tonight!

Actually I don't have my sound bar yet , it was free but won't get it till next week.. I am hooking up tv though tonight. You happy with your picture settings? I saw a few posted here but it was only like 8 settings? The Samsung settings in the other forums are 100 different settings? Are those not accessible on this tv? And is it worth messing with it that in depth? We will have to wait and see?

I'm happy with default settings, just turned tru motion off!

Lkauf looks great, what mount did you get, can you take a side shot? I want one that hugs the wall as close as possible, so it almost looks like a picture frame

I have two options to buy the 47LM7600 TV

1) Adorama for 1529.99 (with soundbar and family pack 3d glasses)
2) Pricematch at Amazon for Buy.com (1590.99 with shipping and unpacking, no soundbar or familyglass set)
3) Straight from Amazon.com (1799.99 includes soundbar and family pack glasses)

Adorama is the best deal on paper. But, I've never bought from them and they do not have the 30-day free returns like Amazon

Please let me know what your decision would be. Thanks!
(P.S: Adorama's price being so low is kinda making me think if it is a 2nd tier product when compared to the units other sellers are carrying ? Any Opinions ?)

I got the Sanus from Amazon here:

http://www.amazon.com/Sanus-Systems-...2270640&sr=8-1

It's about 3 1/4 in. from the wall to the front of the tv. About as close as you're gonna get...

No LG engineering is working on it. I am afraid it was loaded with the 6700 software instead of the 7600. I just hope they can update it without returning the tv.

Thought I'd post my color settings as I'm fairly pleased with them. I'm running a PlayStation 3 via HDMI on a 47LM7600.

I went through "Picture Wizard II" first and choose the settings I liked best first. Then tweaked the backlight setting and a few other minor things until I reached these settings...

Backlight: 75
Contrast: 75
Brightness: 58
V-Sharpness: 20
H-Sharpness: 20
Color: 60
Tint: 0
Color Temp: 0

-Expert Control-
Dynamic Contrast: Off
Super Resolution: On
Color Gamut: Standard
Edge Enhancer: High
xxYCC: Off
Color Filter: Off
Expert Pattern: Off
Gamma: 2.2

-Picture Option-
Noise Reduction: Off
MPEG Noise Reduction: Off
Black Level: Low
Real Cinema: Off
Eye Care: Off
LED Local Dimming: Off
TruMotion: Off

Not seeing the issue on the 47LM7600 that just arrived from Amazon today.

I did have one question, though...
I know the TV is capable of 240Hz, but when the video source info shows at the top of the screen, it only reads "1080p 60Hz" for a PlayStation 3 via HDMI. Is there some setting I need to switch to get it to show 240Hz?

nope. 60hz is correct. That is the incoming signal from the ps3. There is no "true 240hz" content out there or 120 for tvs. It's all upscaling and motion smoothing.

just curious why you have local dimming off? does anyone know what all these settings exactly are?wondering why you have the settings you do, such as Noise Reduction, dynamic contrast off

But overall it looks like the results are not better than last years models.
