I just got the 55" yesterday. Now that I turned off tru motion I like the picture. There is some bleed still around the edges. The wand remote is fun and built in wifi is nice for pulling 3d demos. Haven't tried any other apps yet. I'd like to see what picture settings people are adjusting to also.
I got it at BB with promo this week of a free LG soundbar and sub, and extra glasses.
Watched some of tangled in 3d last night which was bright and sharp. We did notice most of what we watched, the 3d had depth into the tv, not so much coming out at you from the tv. But I understand it's how the content was produced and not the TV itself.
I bought mine from HHGREGG and still waiting for it to come in? I hope by the time I get it, someone posts up some settings.
Would you say overall the picture quality is pretty good? I saw the 47 in store and picture was nice, and that's with store settings so I am sure they can be even better!
Is the good PQ right out of the box or have you tweaked it some? Is the reflective screen bothersome at all? Store just called, tv is in! But can't pick it up till tomorrow
That thread is for the 6700 model, ? I saw a guy post on that thread that he can access the EZMENU on his tv? Are you able to? And is that where you make all the calibration settings? Did you do that yet?
How do you guys have your sets placed ? Tv stand on , swivel mount, or wall mount? I bought a tv stand and it has the swivel mount that a big steel post that mounts to the back of stand, but not sure I want to use it? If I use the included sexy tv stand on my tv table then where to I put my sound bar?
Don't have that issue. I have Blu-ray, Directv and Wii flowing through Onkyo NR609 and then one HDMI out to TV. Surround sound, so my center cube actually sits behind the tv for now until I eventually mount it to my wall.
Where are you mounting? To the steel post thingy thats part of your tv stand? What soundboard do you have? I actually have a LG NB3520A coming in a week or so. It's the new one with wireless sub and 300 watts. I thought about just using the stand and putting the soundboard in front of it but it would be too far out in front of tv right?
sounds like the same soundbar i got, it came free with the tv at BB. 300w with wireless sub. I've got a projector and 7.1 in the media room so this is all i need for the living room. the sound bar is out in front, but its just perfect as to not block anything while we sit on the couch. i havent looked at how it mounts yet.
Let me ask you something? What is height of your tv stand? With mine and then added tv height I am concerned about it being higher than eye level sitting on the couch. Cuz I don't believe you can tilt the tv up or down, just swivel.
Hey guys I am thinking about getting the 47LM7600 and I am wondering about the 3D. It will be in my room right in front of my bed. My bed sits high so I am eye level with it. I know they say that you should not watch 3D when laying down. What do you guys think? I usually have my pillows so I am leaning up a bit.
I saw the deal on the UN55D7000 on eBay this morning. So I took my Fiance to BB so that we could get a look at it to make sure it's what we wanted. We looked at the Samsung for a while. We loved the bezel on it and the picture. A salesman asked us if we were set on Samsung, and I told him no just to see what he was going to show us. He pointed over to the new line of LG's that they have in, which happens to be on sale. He showed us the 55LM7600. Wow, was my first reaction. The bezel on the TV is sick and IMO way better than the Samsung 7000's bezel. The picture was even better. This will be my first 3D TV, and I liked it too. The 3D looks like it's inside of the TV and doesn't "pop" out like the others. Also, I was told that passive 3D doesn't make people feel sick?
They are running a special right now where you get double the 3D glasses, and a LG sound bar for $2k. My Fiance liked the look of the LG better so that is what we decided on. I think I may go back for the 47" as well, if I can convince her to let me, lol.
^I saw the 47LM7600 at BB today as well. The only 3D they had was the
2D to 3D conversion. Is that what you saw? It was kinda comical with the news anchor's tie sticking out but the rest of the picture sinking back in but overall very cool. curious what the conversion would do to normal 2D sports.
they said they might hook it up to a bluray to show the true 3D experience this weekend so Ill have to go back. They were literally unboxing them as I was there.
I didn't see the demo that you are talking about. We had some demos and a few movies on Blu Ray that he showed us. They played The Green Lantern demo, and then Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on Blu. He did show us the 2D>3D conversion on a demo, the Wii style remote, and a few other settings. I was very impressed. I've wanted a Samsung since before I left for my deployment and was for sure I would get one. This LG was better IMO, side by side.
