Yes. LG seems confused on this issue. Not a good sign?

is the problem that you can't control trumotion or that it doesn't exist on these models?

For a lot of folks that have 2012 panels that just became available in March, the option does not exist. For a few folks, the option is in the LM7600 models; I have yet to hear from a LM6700 owner that has the option. And for those of us that don't have the option in the menu, is it enabled or not?

Who the heck knows?

Has it gotten to the point that LG is so desperate for an income stream that they send out unfinished products to the public, and promise updates some time in the future? Damn.

Is this Tru Motion problem something that we think will be fixed?

I don't follow TVs close enough to know how often LG releases firmware updates to TVs. Based on all the comments that is what sounds like the problem, which isn't a big deal to me if they release multiple firmware updates for these TVs over its life as I'm sure it will fix it, but if LG as a brand rarely does updates then I will be more concerned.

update didn't do a damn thing... I'm very disappointed with this Korean company. Going back to the good ol' Japanese!

No,Your set is saying it is receiving 1080i/60 content. How it displays this on it's 1080p/120 display is controlled by your motion compensation and aspect ratio options.

I think I've noticed an improvement in judder since the latest firmware was installed. I'll have to verify this.

So is this TV forcing the "soap opera effect" with no way to disable it, or are we talking about not being able to enable it? I would never buy a TV that had that forced on it. I likely wouldn't buy an LG product given how they never fixed the stretching problem on their combo HD-DVD/Blu-Ray player, which could have been a great machine had it not been for that.
