From a Sony KDL-60NX720. The panel is identified in the service menu as:

FDHY600LT0101

The format would suggest it's a Samsung Panel (Maybe S-PVA?) but I haven't seen any starting with FHDY here on the net via Google.

Thanks in advance.

Living room: Sony 60NX720, Yamaha RX-V673, NHT Super One/Zero w/Ten Sub, Panasonic BDT230.
Current Man Cave: Samsung PN51F8500, Vizio S4251w-B4, Sony BDP-S5100, Darbee Darblet.
Future Man Cave: Sony VPL-HW40ES, Panamorph Phoenix. Patio: Epson 2040
Displays calibrated with HCFR, i1DisplayPro, and Colormunki Photo.

My thanks to everyone that viewed my original post. Sounds like this is a pretty big mystery after all! I guess the next step is to dig up a magnifying glass and look at the pixel structure!

I think most of us are likely stuck using Google and Panelook and this panel is in neither. The panel number should be correct though as that is the "known" panel for the mainboard you have. I couldn't get any further than that though.

can you see the panel sticker through the back vents? maybe the actual code is a little different and may show up on panellook if you do so

I think he's going to see the same code as that is the code listed at shopjimmy for his mainboard. So far that site has been incredibly accurate when it comes to mainboard and panel matches.

Finally found my magnifying glass. Looks like it's a S-PVA Panel. I found a number of sites with close up pixel structure pics and it's closest to the S-PVA found here:

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles...chnologies.htm

I say 'closest' because my glass is only about 15x so it doesn't blow the subpixels up all that much.
