I have a 40L5200U. The LED edge-lit model. I just got it last week. Soon, I'll try to get some reviews up on Best Buy, Amazon, etc.

I think you would call it a matte screen, it is not smooth like glass. I'm not sure who actually made the panel. The guys/gals in the "Toshiba 2011 Line-Up" thread didn't think too highly of this brand, but I like it.

Do you notice clouding or flashlighting when viewing ina. Dark room?

Yes, I have "cloudiness" of light leaks. Not at the four corners, but "patches" of white leaking out of the screen in a couple of places. In a dark room, I notice it (dark movie scenes, movie credits, 4 by 3 commercials, etc.), but if there is much light at all in the room, I won't notice at all.

I turned down the settings (THX test patterns on THX-certified movies) and it improved to where it is now.

It really is a very nice set.
