Hey guys, I'm sorry if I'm posting this within the wrong thread. I'm a little green behind the ears as far as this A/V stuff. I'm in need of some assistance on selecting which TV would be best suited for my family. We are in the process of building and I'm trying to build a A/V system for around $5000 including speakers, receiver and TV. I have everything picked out, but the TV. I have about $2000+- to purchase my TV. The ones I am looking at are the Samsung UN55D7000L (last years), UN55ES6500FXZA (this years)
Our living room is pretty open with large windows that do have have blinds. I am interested in a dependable 3D TV however I am also torn between active vs passive 3D. I'm more inclined to go with the passivve due to the cheapness of the 3D glasses and that I wouldn't be watching 3D other than the occasional movie. I have looked through alot of the threads before posting and all of these TV's seem to have their issues. I am trying to determine which of these are the most reliable. Thanks for any assistance, constructive critisism, or opinions you can offer.
My home setup is (if any of the info is needed):
Onkyo TX-NR515 Receiver
Klipsch- R-3800-W in wall front speakers
Klipsch- G-16 Rear Speakers
Klipsch- G-42 Center
Klipsch- SW-112 Sub
