I have a Vizio E390VL LCD being fed an HDMI signal from a Directv H25-100 receiver. This is an HDMI signal that's split between an LG 32" LCD in the bedroom where the receiver is and the Vizio mounted on the other side of a wall (frame and brick). The issue is when I turn on the LG and Directv receiver in the bedroom the TV outside goes on (and when the LG and DTV are turned off the TV outside goes off). No windows, just a solid brick wall.
Ideas? Wondering whether either the vizio or DTV has an auto on where its getting an on/off signal thru the HDMI cable.
I am controlling the receiver from outside with a Hotlink XL IR extender. Only thing outside is the eye, all emitters are inside.

Quite a few sets these days have a feature that turns on the set automatically when an HDMI source device is turned on. Usually it's defeatable. Check the owner's manual for your Vizio.

Thanks Steve. That's what I was told by the Hotlink engineer. Think I found it in the TV menu, although it was called CEC and was in the tuner section of the menu. Stands for Consumer Electronics Control
