I bought the m3d550kd originally from Costco. It was the display model since they where sold out,for $899, and the guy gave me 4 more 3d lg glasses. I Was happy. Keep in mind ive been on a led war mission for quite some time for my man cave. I have bought and returned multiple leds.... Samsung's 7, 8 series from best buy and Costco. They of course they have great pictures and options, but backlight bleeding was unacceptable for the price. Took everyone back. Lg. Sony. Took back. ............okay back to the vizio. It seems that no matter how much you spend it's not a perfected technology (ps I have 3 other led's with no issues) it is a "pig in a poke." I think their getting cheaper quality so people can afford them. So I said screw it ill get a vizio. My friends have them and they look great for much cheaper. With cheaper price comes lower quality in one way or another, I'm prepared to deal with it. Adjusted the settings on this vizio to my liking, and all in all I'm happy with it. Software is clunky, no biggie. YouTube crashes after 3 videos, no biggie. All the minor stuff I can live with. 3d is great. No lag on any ps3 games I have. Talked to a lg rep at best buy, while browsing for other stuff and I asked her if vizio had lg screens, she said the 3d vizio are 90 percent lg screens. She wasnt trying to sell me anything. Take that how ever you want to......
Well the vizio has blooming in corners and I have dimming off because I like a brighter image. But I was still unhappy (I have ocd) so I took it back to Costco and returned it. Told them the bleeding and blooming issues along with the crashing of apps. And they returned no question asked as usual. Now here is the GOOD part.
My wife and I returned to Costco to Christmas shop. I am looking in the electronic section, as all men do, and what do I see? It's my old vizio up on the shelf maked for 749.99. So I nonchalantly said ill buy it and deal with vizio to repair or deal with it. The electronic section employee said it was the last one? I just smiled and nodded. Paid and left. Got it home and turn old Betsy on. All my settings are the same and no default/reset was done..... makes question Costco. ...but hey I came out on top.
P.s. I contacted vizio to test their waters. This company is a joke lol. If it wasn't for Costco concierge I would have hung myself. They wanted pictures, i sent pics. They said not good enough, I sent exactly what they asked for, they found a way to say they wanted more pics to determine anything. .......waiting on phone call. I'm just tested vizio, because I can live with faulty issues for $750. To all others who have serious issues with their KD vizio. Be ready to defend yourself against every response vizio has in the book to avoid doing anything about it. Dont take my words lightly all I have to do is adjust my tv to get the blooming to reside. You may not be so lucky. Its nice but vizio has a lot of duds after about 2 years. BUY THE SQUARE TRADE IF YOU BOUGHT FROM COSTCO. OR WHERE EVER YOU BUY. THEY ARE THE ESCORT OF TVS. NOT WORTH CRAP AFTER 100, 000 MILES
