Guys how are you? A friend of mine has the Samsung LED series 7550 46" but he's experiencing audio and video delay issues.

No matter if his using hdmi or component or composite, there's a small but definitely perceivable audio and video lag (200-400 mili secs).

Tv has the latest firmware installed and all esoteric features are turned off. It's not the source (we tried bd, cable and even VHS) with no luck.

Anyone suffered something like this?

I could use your ideas to help him out. Thanks!

The delay is caused by the amount of time it takes your TV to process the input before it can display it.
Do you have game mode set on the TV?
Are you sending the game content to the TV in it's native resolution so it does not have to be scaled by the TV?
Is overscan disabled on the TV?

Everything is disabled (game mode, overscan, etc). He's no using any game mode. He's using a bd player with hdmi, regular antenna and even VHS with composite.

Delay definitely it's there...

The whole purpose of Game Mode is to reduce the processing time in the TV so as to miniimize lag.
Since composite is SD the TV is taking a log of time to upscale it to it's native 1080p resolution if it is being sent conposite.
If he is not playing a game what problem is the delay creating for him?
You will never have no lag time on a fixed pixel digital TV since the image sent has to be processed before it is sent to the screen. With CRT TVs the video could go direct to the display guns.
If your Video is delayed from your audio all the time then your TV should have an adjustment for it. Some network programs have video to audio delays when displaying clips from other camera locations/
