Hi guys,

I'm new to this community and also never tweaked the settings on a TV before. My wife and I just purchased our 1st home and bought 3 LED's for the house. I hear that it is best to play with the settings (possibly calibrate) and not go with factory settings.

Does anyone know what I should set the settings to my following tvs?

Samsung UN40ES6100fxza

Samsung UN46ES6500

Sharp 70" 847U

I would really appreciate your advice, Thanks!!!!

I'd check the owner's threads for each of your sets for settings that have worked well for others. Keep in mind that what's ideal for one set or user may not be ideal for you. If you go to an owner's thread and do a thread search under "settings" it shouldn't take too long.

Hey there and congrats on your new investments. It must be so exciting to purchase your first home. So best to ya. The reason why you are not getting a good response is because most people tend to read and respond in the specific television threads. Look for threads titled "Official owners thread Sharp 847u" or something similar. In those threads you'll find plenty of suggested calibrations/settings for your specific sets. You'll get lots of other great info and learn to be obsessive about your tvs like the rest of us. RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN! HA! Just kidding. This information will just empower you as long as you remember your eyes will always be the best judge.

Lots of good luck to you. You got some nice tvs there.

edit: here is a thread to get you started. It's the thread for the 847u.

Thanks, I didn't know there was a specified thread for each television. I'll have to look into it.
