So let the party begin and lets see some customized setting ya babieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Don't be holding back lets all share. It's the only way to show the more expensive tv owners that the set is lovable and extremely good enough.

and yet another "share your settings with me" question. Top of the line, bottom of the line, it doesn't make a difference. Sharing settings doesn't always work, is not recommended, and can cause more problems than they're worth.

No two TV's of the same make/model and serial number batch are installed in a room with identical lighting, used by people with identical vision,at the same viewing distance and using same models of PVR., disk players and cable or satellite Set top Boxs.
Therefore the "optimum" calibration settings for no two owners are the same. If they were then there would be no reason for providing the capabiliy to change them.

It's just best to turn all the dials and settings sliders to maximum, then buy several expensive pairs of red, blue. and green tinted sunglasses and give them to three people in the room and pass the remote around for each to tweak according to what looks best for each. That way you can obtain black level, color saturation, and gamma all at once.cool.gif

and even if all those conditions were exactly the same, two samples of the same make/model/screen size will not necessarily behave the same

What is being discussed? If the OP doesn't come back in and let everyone know what the hell he's talking about this thread needs to be locked.

I agree, looks like a joke or something based on the OP's only post
