Hello,

I am on the verge of buying the Samsung ES6800. However, one area of concern I am having is that this set is only 120 Hz native (not 100% sure but I thinks that's the case). Bearing in mind the set's steep cost, this was a bit of a let down.

My question is, is there any real benefit of having a 240 Hz screen vs 120 hz? Im not looking for the Soap Opera Effect in movies.

I understand the Sammy has a 500 Hz Clear Motion Rate (CMR) but that will induce the Soap Opera Effect. Correct?

If yoiu are not interested in motion smoothing to get the SOE and you are not interested in 3D the 120Hz is fine.
