Hey all

Iv been pouring through the posts on both of these two displays, and have pretty much narrowed it down to one or the other. However I have just one question that I haven't been able to find a good answer to.

What I'm trying to find out is if these two TV's essentially have the same panel inside, and if not is there a huge difference between the two? From what I can tell the 8000 has the higher contrast as well as the Micro dimming Ultimate. Besides that I can't find any other differences with the exeption of the stand which I don't really care about anyways cause its going to be wall mounted.

The final thing I'm struggling with is if its worth it to spring for the 8 series over the the 7 based of those differences that I have been able to find.

Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advanced!

I suggest you look in the es8000 owners thread and you will see that discussed several times. I have had both panels and find the difference noticable.
