i know the older models they had the past 2-4 years were bad, but there are a lot of good reviews on their new 2012 LED's and LCD's on BB......was wondering if anyone on here owns any Inisgnia's? either LCD or LED.......

all of the newer models have gotten good reviews for the most part, but these are fairly new. usually after 6months to 1 year, ppl start reporting problems....these are just BASIC LCD's and LEDS. on SMART or 3D included, very standard tv's

i know there are tons of "enthusiasts" on here, but for a basic lcd or led, how does Insignia perform? ive read tons of reviews on bb's site and other sites, and for just a basic TV its decent...

One of my sons has an Insignia in his bedroom. He seems fine with it, so depending on your budget and how picky you are, it may very well work out ok for you.

The Insignia plasmas use Samsung panels. I wonder if this holds true for the Insignia LCD/LEDs. Or perhaps LG? And is the picture quality good on these cheaper brand LEDs, or would I be better off to consider Vizio?

They have been selling Insignia plasmas with Samsung panels the last 2 or 3 years, similar to the 450 series. They may still have some instore, but have not produced a new model for 2012.
