So before I start let me say this. Yes, I messed around in my service menu and didn't take pictures before I mad the changes. Yes, I know I shouldn't have messed around in the service menu unless I knew what I was doing and I know I should have taken pictures before I made changes. Yes, I was a idiot. Yes, I do get what I deserve....but haven't we all made stupid mistakes?
Now that we are clear that I was in the wrong, lets move on!!!
So, I have this really bad audio to video lag (audio after picture) problem on my Samsung LN55B650 and the other night it was so bad that I stopped Watchman halfway through the movie and pulled up my service menu and started making some adjustments to the delays (please read or re-read above before condemning me). After I was done changing some of the parameters on the TV the lag was better but still not perfect. So I adjusted the delay on my AVR (Denon DHT-591) and got it almost perfect, but it is still enough lag that you can notice it (i could live with it, but its annoying). So here is what I need from any of you that own a Samsung LN55B650.
All the parameters that are set to zero in this picture had higher numbers until I changed them. The parameters that are set to zero are the parameters that I need the factory settings on.
So if anyone can give me the factory settings off there Samsung LN55B650, I would be forever in your debt. If I can get those parameters back it will not cost me as much to have a Samsung service tech come out and see if they can fix the lag problem (yes, i'm trying to cover my butt)
The odd part about this whole thing is, all of my equipment is HDMI 1.3 and everything runs into the AVR for processing. I have taken the AVR in and had it looked at and everything was perfect (the same with my Blu-Ray Player). So the only thing I can come up with is that makes any logical sense is that the TV, is having a delay when it tries to process the picture. If I run the HDMI into my other cheaper and smaller TV the audio to video sync is perfect (again, everything is being processed through the AVR). But as soon as I plug the Samsung back in, the audio to video sync is way off (even when i plug straight into the TV from the Blu-Ray Player, the audio to video is still not synced properly). Anyways, any help would be great with regards to the factory/default setting in the "AUDIO" setting in the service menu.
