I have been converting my DVDs to .mp4 (H.264), using Handbrake, but noticed that many of the longer movies will give a "playback not available" a little ways into the movies. I'm not sure what this problem is. I usually play these off a hard drive, but I've even tried to play them from a USB with same results. My Sony BluRay BDP-S590 will play them off the USB without any issues. Also, if the files are in .avi format, they play fine.

It's now 2013, August. Sony can not release a firmware to fix this? I want .mkv, .rmvb, .divx, avi hd, etc. I want to play files off my 1TB NTFS hard drive.
