The official price in yen converts to like 25800 or something like that...US prices r typically cheaper than the conversion price

Ok 30k, now that's really ridiculous. That's the same as a new honda accord. I mean clearly the ones who can afford or buy it are the Forbes 400 folks and of course they won't have the time to watch it cause they're too busy in the boardroom making more moola or traveling around the world in the personal jets. .

Seriously, I would say not even your standard millionaires won't touch this. And even I if win Mega-millions 92 mil on Tue I won't buy this crap just on principle alone. For one these sony's I would rather buy 3 of the Sharp 90" and give it away to worthy friends to spite sony.

1st of all that's pretty funny 150K for her dog house, 2nd Paris is not the standard millionaires I'm referring to. She's prob not that far from a billionaire with her parents $$$.

The standard millionaires are like the one you see on that show Secret Millionaire or Undercover Boss

No doubt the well to do will buy it up, but soaking a few thousand rich people for huge profit is not going to put Sony in the black. You need volume mixed with a decent profit. Even at 10-10K it is going to be all profit, no volume.

Nice, I like the speakers on the side off the TV. Speaking of the Qualia,I have the first LED TV from samsung, the 81F series and love the speakers on the side, the picture looks wider.
I also have the LG LV9500 Nano and the speaker are not on the side, which makes it look like the old CRT TV'S,BOXEEE!

I saw this set in person at the Costa Mesa, CA SonyStyle store in South Coast Plaza couple of weeks ago. They had a 4K demo running and it was gorgeous. I asked the store manager for the remote and went through the user menus. Basically the same options as the new HX950. 2-point white balance and no CMS settings.

I too saw this set . Thought it was great in that it had a very good viewing angle, the upconversion from 1080 good and the 3d (apparently 2k per eye passive) excellent. The one thing I did notice was that in a fast moving scene the set couldn't keep up. (actually hurt your eyes) Do not know if this was because they didn't have the Motion 960 set properly or what. Someone who also saw what I saw thought it was because the native rate of the panel was 120hz. Is this possible on a $25,000.00 set?
