I can't get my ES7500 to work smoothly with any AMP setting other than clear. Any other setting, including any combination of custom, causes random frame drops, or regular stutter, depending on the channel I watch.

For some reason, clear doesn't drop frames for me.

I have a 55" D7000. I also use the clear setting. No SOE, but seems to help reduce the jerkiness. I've seen reviews that suggest 10 on judder, 0 on deblur, 7 and 5, etc., etc. Many people are concerned over the jerky picture that seems to be prevalent in DVD's and some cable/dish systems.

Auto motion plus set to off. I hate the soap opera look.

Disabled. I strongly oppose said feature. It just looks simply awful to me even on its lowest setting.

Clear certainly has soap opera effect, regardless of what some say. It's just not as vivid as other modes.
