How does changing the white balance affect the hue of other colors in LCD TVs?
In analog sets, changing the bias and drive affected the entire spectrum of color.
This would not necessarily follow in LCD TVs unless they use RGB backlights that can change intensity.
I calibrated a Toshiba with CCFL backlight that actually had drive controls for red and blue like an analog set.
I'm not sure if this was really adjusting the color of the backlight tubes or not -- I kind of doubt it.
My new Quattron 70" uses blue LED/yellow phosphor hybrids, so there is no way to alter the backlight color.
I worked hard to get the blue highlights out of the white, but I wonder if it affected any other colors.
Color temperature settings mostly just add or subtract red -- I'm more interested in the green component.
Anybody knowledgeable along these lines?...
