I am looking at purchasing a 65 inch to 70 inch flat screen for my family room. We have a bank of windows and sliding glass doors that run the length of the left side of this room. On the right side we have windows that run the length of the room. It is approximately 16 feet to the seating area, 23 feet to an eating table, and 34 feet to the kitchen sink. The room width is 16 1/2 feet. The entire area has canned lighting. Eye level will be at approximately 1/2 of the way up from the bottom of the screen. I am wondering if I need a screen that has a matte finish (like the Sharp Aquos) or if I can get a glossy finish (like the Samsung 8000)? I worry about the glare. Any help here is much appreciated.

Also, If anyone can help at all as to which model in ths size range would be best I would appreciate that as well. This television will be used for normal family viewing. Many kids shows, televisions shows, and sporting events as well as some dvd viewing (maybe once a week). I do not want to spend more than $4000. Please help!!!

Thank you!!!

The Sharp Aquos is probably your best bet right now.
