After reading all the comments here regarding the differences in the panels, I took a look and saw that mine was the sharp (HS03).

I decided to go on a Costco search (where I bought the original one from) to find the TS02.....searched 4 stores in my area....all were HS03.

The display model in every store was the TS02, but every store that I spoke to said "it was an older model".

I happen to go to BJ's last night and went right for the TV section.

They had the 5050, and as I was searching through the boxes, the last one in the back was a TS02!

Long story short....I bought it and took the other one back to Costco.

My impressions, as well as everyone else in my family is that the TS02 is sharper, brighter, and a better viewing angle.

Just to compare apples to apples, I made sure the settings were identical to the Costco set.

So far, it seems to be worth the half day of running around.

I have the 46" EH5000 (also TS02) and the build date is June 2012 (on sticker on back of TV). I saw all the 40" 5000's and 5300's as being Sharp panels, despite the display models being Samsung panels. Glad to hear you got the best panel this set comes with.
