A few years back, 24p was offered on many TVs. My basic LG 50 series TV has it. Now, I don't see it mentioned with many different brands. LG for example. Go to their website and search for 24p, its not there. Now they do have a Cinema mode, but there are no details. Sony has "Motionflow" but again, I don't see mention of 24p. Panasonic's top two lines of LED have 24p, the rest don't. And, I guess, DLP doesn't have it at all. So I guess my question is, is 24p gone now? Or is it incorporated in various Cinema modes. Trying to find the features I want is becoming a wild goose chase.

Any 120hz/240hz TV will do 24p. Not all companies list the feature as 24p. I'm guessing, they assume anyone who knows what 24p means, will also realize that a 120hz display will display 24p.

Of course, I got it modified with the TK-427, which cheeks it up another, maybe, 3 or 4 quads per channel.

A minor clarification: properly designed DLP displays have no problems displaying 24fps. I can hear the color wheel in my single-chip DLP projector change speeds when the input signal changes between 60fps and 24fps.

Accepting 24p and 3:pulldown to display it on 60Hz models or uising 5:5 pulldown to to display it on 120Hz models is a very common option on todays LED/LCD models.
Actual diusplay at 24fps can appear very jumpy since even movie theaters display 24fps at 48fps by displaying each frame twice.

This is how confusing it is. The video review of a 2012 Panasonic plasma, the reviewer says it was nice the TV had 24p although its not listed as a feature. Well, it is, lol. Its just called Cinematic mode. So I guess that is what's happened, its called Cinematic Mode.
