Hello, first time poster smile.gif

I presently have the Samsung UN55EH6000, bought in May from Costco.

It's nice, no real complaints but I just saw the UN55es6100 at Costco for the same price I paid for my 6000.
I still have all the packaging and can return it to Costco NO problem for the 6100 - but SHOULD I???
Will the 6100 have a better picture than the 6000?
Better sound? less problems?
I don't care about apps and do not want any 3D - I just want the best performing TV smile.gif

These 4 models are all very close in price, but I really just want the 'best' one.
** Ignore prices. The Sharp 60" comes with a Blu Ray player which I don't need, so please ignore prices as part of the decision making smile.gif

Any suggestions?

THANKS VERY MUCH

I've actually been looking at very similar models, only in the 46-47" range. I think the difference between the Samsung 6000 and 6100 is that the 6000 isn't a smart TV, and it only has 2 HDMI inputs, so I'm not sure it's a problem for you. I haven't really looked at the Sharp so maybe I should. I've also considered the Panasonic E50, but I've heard it's considered to be their "bottom of the barrel" model LED, whatever that means. I think I'll probably go with the Samsung, since I've owned several of their sets and am generally happy with them.

I have the UN46EH6000, the 46" version of the EH6000 and am very happy with it. It's not perfect in the sense it has some vertical and color/digital banding, but it has great contrast/blacks and good viewing angles for a *VA panel set. I have the Samsung S-PVA panel, version TS02.

I'd keep the EH6000 if I was you.

Don't forget the EH6000 is full-array (but with a limited number of LEDs) while the ES6100 is edge-lit. Edge-lit sets are more prone to flashlighting, clouding, and bright spots, things which are far less common on full-array sets.
