First a couple of pics:

I've had these lines on my television for a while after my little sister stuck bubble gum on the screen and then pulled it off. It started off as a small section, but eventually creeped across other parts of the screen and into multiple lines. It's hard to tell from the two pictures, but you can see through the blue, meaning that you can still make out images in the blue portions. They don't move (other than the growing, which it seems has stopped).

Anyway, my question is simply: is there anything I can do to remove these lines or am I stuck with them forever? I wouldn't be opposed to opening it up and getting in there to fix it, but I haven't been able to find any problem similar to mine after a fair amount of googling.

Thanks,
Scott
