Firmware update 405U1210151 still failing (both network and usb) Have tried multiple upgrades. Can't watch movies. Please help.

- Firmware update 405U1210151 fails at 67% when performing network download
- USB update also fails in the following way
- Update runs to 35%
- Confirmation message says update was successful
- TV restarts and says "Update version: 305U1209261"instead of 405U1210151
- Clicking "Smart Central" button on remote returns the following error message
"This feature is not available due to a software update failure. Please retry the software update."

I have retried both network and usb updates 4 times each. Uplugging TV for 1 minute between each retry.
Nothing works. I want my movie services working again. Please advise how I can get my TV working again.

It would help you get responses if you stated what TV you are using. wink.gif

You should try unplugging the TV for more than 1 minute. For example try a few hours or even overnight. Hope it helps.

I was told 5 minutes were sufficient and it worked for me.

This is about the Sharp TVs- I've had this problem for a week now. I can use the TV normally but can't access any online features.

Did you contact Sharp Aquos Advantage?

Yes- the guy I talked to sounded like he was drunk. He had me reset the TV back to its defaults (which ruined my picture settings, so I wasted more time getting them set back right again) but Smart features still wouldn't come up and it still failed to update through the available ways.

You are not alone. I am having the same problem I also get the same error message. My TV is an LC-70LE745U. If anyone knows how to do a hard factory reset on the TV that may be helpful.

Thank you,

Six weeks now with this problem. Six weeks. No response from Sharp, no solution online. About ready to file a small claims suit over this. Same exact problem, same exact TV model (LC70LE745U).

Factory resets are NOT acceptable. I've worked in IT for 15 years and this is elementary stuff.
