Do the pixels go all the way to the bezel, or is there a black border around the image on the LG 60LM7200?

I have a 55LM8600 whose pixels stop 1/2" from the bezel, and a 55LM9600 whose pixels go right to the bezel.  I am making an array of these monitors, and need to minimize the black in between the images.

Thanks for any information or images you can offer.

They go to the edge of the bezel.

So it seems that ever since the Jan 7th 2014 firmware update my TV keeps flashing brighter and darker. Backlight problem maybe? I tried messing with backlight settings and local dimming and that doesn't help at all. Am I alone here?

Well, I turned the power off and unplugged the TV for a minute and the problem seems to have gone away for the time being. It had been intermittent since the update, so it my return. Hopefully, though, it will stay gone.

06.01.03 is the version I am using. I just downloaded it this week and that's when the problem started. Since I unplugged it though, I haven't seen the issue return. I have no idea what the update was for. I tried adjusting a bunch of different settings to fix it at first. Just unplugging it should have been the first thin I tried. I do not have any power saving settings on or the ambient light sensor on so it seemed really strange that it kept dimming and getting brighter. It wasn't a gradual dimming either. It was quite jarring an obnoxious. So far so good though. We have a movie night tonight, so if the problem returns I will update.

I have some questions about some items I saw in the ..Service Menu.

#5. Tool Option6
STD Backlight =85

So can I turn this down to get rid of some of the white corners I have?
In the standard menu my Backlight is 41.

#6. Tool Option7
EDID Type = PCM

options are DTS and AC3
What's this for?

#13. SUB B/C
Sub Brightness =128
Sub Contrast =128

I would like to turn that Brightness down, eliminating white corners.

#5. and #13. could really get my picture dark how I like it.

thanks for any input.

Same as what I listed above. I only use Input HDMI 1 because everything feeds though my Denon AVR-1712. I typically try and find a happy medium for all content because I really don't like messing with once I've found something that works.
I think for gaming the color temp has to be medium though

Question

Hey guys,

60LM7200 owner here, been experiencing kind of an odd horizontal colored static appearing on my screen sometimes. It's usually subtle but sometimes it's quite severe and in the worst case the entire picture's colors go completely screwey (rainbowed almost). T

he unit's not always been this way of course, but I'm curious if anyone's seen this happen. Possibly an issue with the HDMI cable? It's hooked up to the HDMI output of a Yamaha RX-V373 receiver.

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone had an issue with their TV since the last upgrade a week or so ago?

I am now seeing what looks like frame rate issues and sometimes screen tearing at the bottom third of the screen. Seems to have happened with the most recent update.

Is there a way to revert to old firmware? I plugged another tv into the signal to verify it was indeed the tv and not the dish network receiver or my AVR.

Thanks

YES! I thought I was going crazy. This newest firmware update BROKE the ability to stream movies from my PLEX server in the basement. They are now jerky with audio dropout. I also see they have added advertisements to the home screen. I am desperately trying to roll back the firmware...have been scouring the internet to find the version before 06.05.03. This better be addressed quickly by LG, as we use this in our home theater room, and I store all movies on a HTPC running pleX media server. They SHOULD have just released a firmware that turned this crappy LG interface into a Google TV. I own a 55" Google LG TV and a 40" Google LG TV and they both work better.

If anyone has info email me please @ blister2pac@yahoo.com

Thanks

*edit* I found this page http://drivers.softpedia.com/dyn-sea...0+TV+Firmware+ and plan to downgrade to 06.01.03.

YMMV

Anyone else having an issue controlling the volume? The audio is not distorted, but no matter how we try and adjust the volume.....2 different remotes or the volume buttons on the side, the volume will not change. The red LED blinks acknowleding the signal is being recieved for the remote, but no changes......

Occasionally it will go up the level, and then we have to hold down the button for another 10 seconds or so for another tick.

I will have to check with BB if we got the extended warranty, but I think it's run out.

Ended up being the main PCB. Was starting to shut off and turn on by itself too. Replaced with an Ebay part and all is well.

Hmmm, yes. I have noticed this, usually just a quick blip for a second at the top of the screen. I thought this was maybe a Plex transcode problem, but now I'm thinking it's the TV. I have noticed stuttery playback as well since the last update. Time to roll back!
