@slatone do u intend on returning it? If so, what will you go with? I think this set is the best bang for your buck.

I read this probably 3-4 times a day and it drives me insane. You don't turn on or off 240hz. Its always there. What you are seeing is the source framerate. In the U.S., sources are displayed at either 60fps or 24fps (usually bluray).

Honestly I wanted to get a Pannasonic ST50 but BB didn't have any and couldn't order any. I liked the picture on the UT50 as well but it didn't have wireless and reflections are a issue with that one as well. I was also looking at the Samsung E7000. I have until Jan 26th to send it back so I have some time to see what else gets released. Going to check my light bleed tonight after its dark. Last night I didn't have time to setup the TV. I verified 3d MKV files work well with this set and I think firmware is 4.20.18 is latest. Trying to get local dimming option to not be grayed out, even with ISF picture option I cannot change local dimming settings.

I'm not a tv wiz so sorry for asking. I noticed it say 60hz not 60fps so you could see my cause for concern. I paid a high dollar for 240hz as a feature and I wanting to be sure it wasn't something I wasn't doing right. If I knew all about TVs I wouldn't need to bother being on this site unless I wanted to help people and inform them of purchases.

Your question is asked so often because many buyers are unfamiliar with the common ways most sets work--i.e. the info bar shows the incoming picture information rather than the actual display resolution, This fact is usually hard to find in owner's manuals so it's easy to be confused. Better to ask a question than continue to be concerned about an issue--I often deal with customers who are not as expert as some around here and one of the first things I tell them is that there's really no such thing as a dumb question.

I sell tvs for a living and am a recent purchaser of another, but similar, LG set and am quite happy with mine and share your enthusiasm, It's always nice to hear from someone who's basically happy with their new toy!

12:41 PM john doe: Best Buy? best buy stores?
12:42 PM Ana: Yes, we created models for them and Costco

As usual, customer service reps are clueless. I bought mine at HH Gregg.

Thanks. I am happy with it, even still it isn't quite up to par with the 60" d7000 Sammy I busted frown.gif but from researching sets for over a month (all day everyday) you can't beat this price.

Did you look at the Samsung UN60ES6100? It's 120hz and no 3D, but it just dropped into the 60LM7200's price range at Best Buy at HHGregg. They've got it on sale for $1399. I'm not sure if I looked at it in my comparisons, and I may stop back in one of the stores to look it over.

If I was going to settle on 120hz and no 3D then the SAMs club Black Friday sale Vizio 65" led for $1000 would be the way to go. Extra 5" and $400 in your pocket to buy a surround sound. Or maybe even a 60" vizio for $700. I don't like any led Samsung sets below 7 series. And I am scared of plasmas. If you are going to spend the money then go for broke. smile.gif I would have done the same but I already have an angry wife for breaking the first so I will stay around 1700.

Word of advice," don't throw remotes inside a 15ft perimeter around your tv". I wouldn't spend that kind of money on that model. Think of it as buying a car with cloth then kicking yourself in the a$$ for not going leather.

I bet I could find a couple flaws on your set in under 2 minutes. smile.gif

Being a graphic designer, I'm hypersensitive to these things. It's great for my profession, but terrible for my TV viewing!

Upon further watching the football when thrown in a football game gets blurred and distorted when thrown. That is really about it.

I noticed that as well. That's more of an inherent limitation of LED TVs with motion blur reduction enabled. What I'm referring to on my set is actual individual screen uniformity.

One more thing I forgot to add, since I've owned three of these now: the second one I received just simply did not have the same image quality as the first and third (current) ones. Colors were not as vibrant, and skin tones had a very strange blockiness to them. All with the same settings.

If I had to guess, these panels are not as high quality or quality-controlled as some of LG's other offerings.

Well I bought one. Will be here next week and hung above my fireplace. Will give a report once here and I've had time to shake it down. Best buy did not have any models out on the floor. Slightly worried about the screen glare many are showing and complaining about. I have a lot of natural light in my room it's in. If its too much I'll return it and get the Samsung I wanted instead.

I am finding myself still shopping online for that Unbelievable Black Friday deal. frown.gif I am now thinking that I can do better. The 70" Vizio caught my eye. 1700 on Black Friday. But no 3D and 120hz. And for the blurry football I found the turning off the motion enhancer setting it went away. Weird

You seem to want to go bigger. Is the 60" too small for your viewing area? I couldn't possibly go any bigger without it becoming unwatchable. Remember, they're all the same 1920x1080 resolution, so the bigger you get, the bigger the pixels get, and the worse it can look depending on viewing distance.

Was in best buy and the 7200 60in next to a LG 60in plasma. The reflections on the 7200 were much more significant than other manf 60s, but not as bad as the plasma. It's somewhere inbetween. Wondering why though?

can anyone post their video settings that they feel is optimum, or can we compare please? I'm a noob when it comes to TV and yet to even buy a blue ray player to get a calibration disc (don't even know how that will work).

Thanks!

The "flashlighting" is pretty bad in the corners on the 7200 I bought from HH Greg's yesterday. Just trying to decide to exchange it or not. Would I have any luck finding one that is better, or is it just the luck of the draw?
