My understanding is that the current 2013 M series 65 inch has the same screen as the 2012 65 inch (M3D651SV).

I think the new 60 and 70 inch M - series use a different screen.

I hope you're happy with the replacement. It seems like some are pleased with the new models.

I just looked, nothing here. We are due for one though IMO on many levels. I hope Vizeo just didn't dump us.

I haven't checked the info screen, but I didn't see any notice of an update recently. I"ll check a bit later and post what I'm on.

But I'm not sure it's a bad thing if they don't update it though. My PQ looks pretty darn good right now.

...thinner bezel but the speaker bar is gone along with the SRS StudioSound HD, and for me that would be a deal breaker. We don't even bother turning on our Denon Home Theatre most of the time its so good.

i use my rx1000 avr for my system.... I saw the new M 65" at costco the other day.. it tormented me it looked so good. yet my wife asked me, what else besides the look is different... I pretty much **** up at that point as there just doesn't seem to be any real ammunition vs my current 65" M to justify it. Now the 80 inch, LOL, i wish.. perhaps next year she wouldn't kill me if i brought that up.

The 4K's are on the way and you might just "need" that kind of resolution for the 80"rs. I haven't seen one yet, but cnet says it will make a noticible difference at 40 feet. So your wife should be ok with it when she gets her new 40 foot family room. rolleyes.gif

I'm going to be in the market for a new set this fall, 65"+. I'm disappointed that they don't currently have the XVT series out.

I'm with grandpadoc, the front facing speakers on the earlier sets are good, I have a powered sub woofer connected to mine and it makes it sound great. I rarely use my Onkyo unless it's a special movie.

The 4k sets sound very interesting but I bet they will cost 4k.

I purchased a Sony 4K Blue Ray (S790) for the horsepower when upconvertng my stuff to 1080 and 3D. It does a nice job and is quick, but a 4K tv is not on my short list.

Been noticing an issues with my M3d651sv:

Has anyone been noticing a lag issue on the fast moving screens specially live sports like baseball and football. For e.g when i watching any 'non live' sports channel the picture is just fine however as soon as i switch to espn or any live sports channel the picture sort lags badly for 2 to 4 sec then corrects itself but then occurs again within 2 to 3 min interval... any ideas? anyone seeing this issue? in advance setting i have turned the motion effect off setting on high usual makes it worse imo... any thoughts

I've had my Vizio M3D651SVD for just over a year now - picked it up on Mar 9 2013. As others have noted it is very reflective but in our house we have a large theater room so we have no issues with that.

I have watched 3D movies and I love watching people jump when it looks like things on the screen pop out at you LOL. I have also played Call Of Duty in 3D and it is amazing. It literally adds a whole new dimension to the game, pun intended.

We have AT&T Uverse for our internet and TV and recently we have started noticing that if we switch from watching a recording to TV the sound mutes. I have not figured out how to correct that except to power cycle the TV. Not a big deal, just wondering if anyone else has this issue.

I am not very proficient with the settings so I was wondering if anyone can let me know if there is a way to have the tv automatically detect the screen settings and adjust? Sometimes a show we are watching has writing that is off the screen but a commercial may be full screen with no problems. When the show comes back on I have the black sides with a smaller screen and if anything shows on the screen some of the letters may be off the screen. Not all commercials are full screen either, so just didn't know if there was anything I could do about that.
