I am pulling my hair out over this dilemma. Can anyone help before I go bald?
I run a cable box and a PS3 to an AV receiver via HDMI, then HDMI to the TV.
I bought the Sony EX645, because I liked the built-in Netflix feature. It would allow me to start Netflix with just one button, rather than running it through the PS3. If I launch Netflix on the TV the sound plays through the TV speakers, not the surround speakers. There is no ARC port on the back of the TV. I can only work with HDMI or CAT6 extenders, because I only ran HDMI cables and CAT6 cables in my house. I can not run an optical or RCA cables back to the A/v, because I would have to open up several walls and ceilings between the TV and the A/V.

Any ideas how I can play the Netflix audio from the TV through my A/V? Any HDMI to RCA adapters that could work? Or am I just stuck with streaming Netflix through my PS3 if I want the sound to come from the A/V.

Thank you so much for giving this some thought.
