Small ones haha

You can run it threw an AVR with up convertion? Most that look good in 720 or 1080 will drisplay SD content well to, some are better than others but its not that big of a difference. I have found that my weak link is the signal from the cable company is all fuzzy I think they do that will you will pay for HD idk.

but from the same distance the bigger the TV the worce it will look

A 1080p TV works best when using 1080p material smile.gif

Best thing to do is try to ignore SD, hire a lot of HD channels and watcha lot of blu-ray quality stuff.

tricks:
buy a hd receiver and set it to 480p/576p when watching SD.

get rid of dvd player, use the blu-ray player when watching a dvd.

get yourself a Lumagen Radiance Video Processor

Size matters...The smaller the better for SD sources.

The higher end models have better upscaling and video precessing.

Try Samsung, Sony, LG or Panasonic - 32 to 50 inches.

Use a HDMI cable.

Thanks for the suggestion, but are there any specific models with "better upscaling and video precessing"?
Just LG has 19 47" models, add Panasonic and Samsung to the mix and...
I noticed a lot of model-specific threads but didn't find any that explain the differences between different models.

Try the manufacturer's websites, the top 3 HDTVs are usually the best for picture quality (SD and HD).

My 32" Sylvania does a really good job with SD. Sylvania does not make these Tv''s anymore so you would have to find someone who is selling theirs. If your able to get one, you will be very happy to see how great the picture looks, I know I have two and use them for SD cable.
