I got mine n 2013, when the F8000 came out. If I had it to do all over again I wouldn't get it. It works OK, but doesn't add anything I need to the TV's function.

Samsung ES8000 65", Evo Kit installed, Yamaha AVR with Paradigm speakers, iMac, iPad, Apple TV and HTC One phone.

yeah the 2013 version is good as it is. not much trouble installing and works great with all apps. i do like the new remote on 2014 though and webbrowser improved but the rest is not that interesting and it makes it unnecesary difficult to browse media and to use PIP i have to go into the menu and the hdmi controls don't work that great. some menu options suck a lot also. using the touchless remote function by using hand is now using finger and sucks also as half of the time it don't work. i gave away my 2013 evokit as a present and i regret it allready, thinking im gonna buy a new 2013 and revert to that.

Samsung UN65F9000AFXZA & SEK-2500U/ZA

I own The UN65F9000AFXZA Version number: UD07
I purchased This 4K TV thinking it was 4K. My model is UN65F9000AFXZA. My picture looked so crappy. I later found out that the SEK-2500U was able to correct this issue. I purchased the SEK-2500U/ZA & followed all directions to the "T". It found an updated ver. when i started and the newest ver is 1172. The picture is a lot better, but now my motion control does not work...WTF? Is anyone else having similar problems? I even followed the directions to disable voice guidance. Still nothing. Can anyone kindly help cause the samsung support number that I called is very useless.

you tried turning on the tv and wait till it booted and then pressing both return and guide buttons on the remote for about 3-4 secs ?

I'm just saying that they may have more experience with your tv.

Got the SEK-2000, the new remote doesn't work for me, I have the 55ES8000 and I think the bluetooth on my TV just dies.

I wouldn't recommend buying the kit, I get microstutters in Netflix, which I didn't before.

Yeah I tried the return & guide Button and it just paired the remote again. My problem is not with the remote it's with the camera and hand motion. It start's to work and then it doesn't. I shut off Voice control as recommended.

Are you using wi-fi for netflix? new kit is fine for me for both netflix and amazon instant prime using wired network. As for the remote, there have been numerous postings on the failings of the bluetooth/wi-fi modules with or without the evolution kit. I don't know if they are on a combined module or on separate boards, but it may be that your netflix and remote problems have a related cause.

Using wired, the problem is: audio has microstutters for like 0.1-0.3 seconds long, at sporadic moments. Kinda annoying because it sounds like a cut, missed packet or a pop. I also had a problem with the wired adapter for the EK not fitting well, and losing connection, piece of crap.

yeah i got the same issue with that finger-remote motion thing. voice control sucks too, it doesnt work most of time. also my wifi stopped working a while back. i think im gonna call the store and get them to fix it as it is clearly a factory fault.

I had the old connect one box. The hand controls were different. You use to use your whole hand, now just a finger. It use to work to good until I connected the SEK-2500U/ZA. Now it doesnt work at all. I went to the test mode and it says my room is to dark. I tried it with all the lights on in the room and during the day with my shades open and it still says my room is to dark. The pointer on the remote works very good no issues with that at all.
