Hi to all,
I found the forum and the thread because my Samsung TV (Model: UN55ES7000GXZS) start having wifi issues while the Evolution kit was connected. (I buy the TV on 2013 and i think the model is 2012).
One night (Thursday) watching a movie over wifi (evolution kit model: SEK-1000/ZD bought in June 2014) the movie playback experience some (more than the habitual) buffer loading times (this happend whit movies off over 8 GB, biggers movies are almost impossible to play, probably my network setup with and old WRT54G router) until all off the sudden the movie gets freeze and I need to turn off and turn on the TV in that point after a lot of frustration I leave everything there turn off the tv and didnt see the whole movie.
Friday (didnt use the TV)
Saturday at night the tv works as always (still the evolution kit attached and connected) I watch my favourite program over my wifi (other end my pc with Samsung All Share software).
Sunday: Wifi of the evolution kit DEAD, nothing that i can do, try everything, re config, setup again, everything and always nothing, so I disconnect the evolution kit did a factory reset and think that the tv integrated wifi module would do the trick, and for my surprise the module didnt work, some times the MAC showed zeros as value, some times i cannot finish or start the network wizard, etc. Luckily i have and extended warranty of the retail store, and give then a call after the whole situation explained a technician came to the house and in 3 seconds he recognize that it was the wifi module, after some time waiting for the module replacement yesterday another technician came we put down the tv unscrew check, remove the old module connected the new one (the techncian said it is a newer revision) and now everything is working.
The old wifi module is the model: WIDT20R BN59-01148C it seems that the revision is the E02 it also state in the sticker DNUR-S72 the MAC address and the power source.
Im not going to connect the evolution kit (I did like it a lot) but it gets very very hot even whehn the temp of the room is maximum 22º C, and my extended warranty is going to be dead in less than a month.
My opinion is that the whole idea is very very nice but they havent found a way to do it right.
