I currently have a XBR-46HX929 and I'm having a few picture quality problems. I've tried replacing the main board, T Con, Led driver and power board but it looks like it is the panel itself. The main board fixed a restarting problem I was having and the T-Con made the TV look much sharper. I notice some faint lines at the bottom left side of the TV that go up about an inch and cover half the width of the screen at the bottom.
Problems I'm noticing with my 46HX929 have to do with juddering while playing video games, watching video or using the TV as my PC monitor. On my TV I get a a lot of juddering/shimmering and I have a very hard time reading any text while I'm scrolling with the scroll bar on any browser, window or application. This is similar in video games as I get a lot of juddering and blur if the picture is moving. MotionFlow improves this but not much. My picture settings are basic and I have everything pretty much off.
If I do replace this TV it would be for a XBR-55HX950 or KDL-55W900A but I will have to settle with a used/demo(HX950) or a new/used(W900A) that I can find online(pricing is within $500 of each other). The W950B looks to be getting bad reviews compared to these two TV's, but I can actually see this model in stores if I wanted to. Hopefully my next TV will last until OLED is an option, but I said that when I bought a XBR3 in 2006 and then a HX929 in 2011
I'm looking for a TV that does the following. Of the two TV's mentioned above which do the following better?
-Good motion/judder without motionflow for Gaming/PC use (Tie)
-Screen uniformity/less banding (W900A)
