I'm going to go to Best Buy today to pick up a new tv. Which is better right now, Smasung or LG?

Thanks!

If your interested in 3D, I'd choose LG.

That is a pretty general question. You would need to give a price range first of all. Then I would not pay any price that BB sells their TVs for. I would find it online and have them price match.

Price range?

For kids I would definitley go with LG passive 3d. Their TVs come with either 4 or 6 glasses depending on the model and additional glasses are cheap.

Is Best Buy price matching internet prices now? If so, that's good to know. smile.gif

From their website:

At the time of purchase, we will match the current pre-tax price for new, identical, immediately available products from a local retail competitor's store and these designated major online retailers: Amazon.com, Apple.com, Bhphotovideo.com, Buy.com, Crutchfield.com, Dell.com, Frys.com, hhgregg.com, HP.com, HomeDepot.com, Lowes.com, Newegg.com, OfficeDepot.com, OfficeMax.com, Sears.com, Staples.com, Target.com, TigerDirect.com and Walmart.com. We will match prices between our stores and BestBuy.com®. We will also match prices post purchase if we lower our price within 15 days of your purchase.

They matched Costco's price on a TV for me the other day. Because of this they changed their return policy to 15 days instead of 30.

Another thing about passive 3d is that u get more light from the TV. Active 3D gets too dark. A least on my plasma.

Glasses usually come with the set. Plus, if kids break em, really cheap to replace.

My kids stepped on a pair the first day ... just ordered pair online which means only one person at a time can watch 3D movies. Has anyone tried those new google glasses yet? I can't seem to find anyone who sells them.
