Just a quick question that hopefully is simple.
I bought a edge-lit LED Vizio M3D550KD from Costco (found literally the last one, everything else was the "KDE" version) a few months ago.
I've really enjoyed the TV, there's a couple minor issues (blacklight bleeds from the sides during very dark scenes, but I've heard that's pretty standard for edge lit LEDs) but nothing too serious.
My real problem is that when the camera pans (mostly during video games or sports), I can notice several very thin black vertical lines in the background throughout the screen: seems to be 3 or 4 evenly spaced vertical lines (is this called vertical banding?).
I can't take a photograph because it only appears during motion.
So my question is, is there a way to fix this? Will this be covered by my manufacturer's warranty? Should I just return this very difficult to find TV set and find something else?
I'm down to the last couple days of my 90 costco return, so I'm wondering what you all would do. Besides this issue, I've really enjoyed this TV.
I appreciate the help!
banding is common in all led's and some plasmas. And it cannot get fixed or repaired.
Exchanging a TV is always a gamble. You might a get a better one or worse.
