New to the forum. Purchased a UNXXES6100 55 inch on closeout. Anyone have calibration settings they are fond off? In looking through the forum there are so many to choose from. It's in a basement with fluorescent lighting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Picture setting are so subjective that only you can tell what you like. Also, what looks good to someone else in their setting may have no value for yours.
Many people like what they see out of the box......so may you.

You should download the DVD calibration disc found free on this forum and set up the white levels
and the color balance right away. That will go a long way to making you happy with the results...

johnfull is right. I've focus on brightness and contrast settings as they'll make the most difference. color balance is harder to do by eye.

note that you should make sure expanded color gamut is off as this will cause clipping of white. to get access to shutting that feature off, you will be limited in viewing modes you can choose.

Also i'd make sure the power saving stuff is off and the auto contrast is off.

Best,
jeff
