I mostly hang out in the audio forums, but I've been considering upgrading my display. I currently have a Panasonic 65V10 (I've always preferred plasma), but I'm wanting to get a larger display. It seems that they don't make > 65" plasmas (at least not affordable ones), and a front projector isn't really an option in my room.
Anyhow, that leaves me with these jumbo LED TVs from Sharp, Vizio, and Samsung. I don't want a Vizio, and I feel that the 80" Sharp is too large for my room. It seems like the Samsung 75F6400 hits the sweetspot of size/price for me, so I'm strongly considering it. I had one concern, if any of you can help me out:
-When I looked at TVs at Best Buy, they had a demo loop that included somebody hitting a golf shot. On the "120 Hz" TVs, I could see two golf balls in the air (one trailing right behind the other). As a plasma guy, I've never seen anything like this and it would not be acceptable. Has anyone seen this type of thing on the F6400? I thought maybe the TVs I saw weren't true 120 Hz (perhaps 60 Hz with simulated 120), so if this is a true 120 Hz TV I'm hoping it won't be an issue.
