XBMC Flicker

I just purchased a Samsung UE55HU7500 4K UHD. Is this the same model as in this thread?

Using OpenELEC, The screens keeps going black for a second and the resolution change notification on my tv comes up.
It's like XBMC is constantly changing the resolution or something but all the notifications say 1920x1080 60p.
This happens only when I navigate the XBMC menus. When I actually play a video inside XBMC, no flicker.

I tried it with 2 nvidia ion HTPCs and the same result. Any ideas?

It may not be fully DLNC compliant. You may need to use a dif streamer.
Did you also check your connection? There was an issue with 7500's dropping the connection but that was resolved a few revisions back. Make sure you have the latest software. Also, try setting your router to a fixed 20 or 40mhz instead of auto. That helps a lot of wireless gear.

As for posting: Generally the threads go by size since Samsung puts more or less features in a given size. So talking to someone with the same model size keeps the focus. There may be a 4k thread (havent needed to check) but for now, the majority of users in this thread have 2k 7500's.

About my Samsung UE55HU7500 4K UHD. I did update the firmware via Ethernet to the latest.
I thought it could be my old HDMI cable and bought the most expensive Monster HDMI cable possible.
Still the same problem. It's not the cable.

To be exact, my hardware is xtreamer ultra. http://www.xtreamer.net/ultra/
Do you think its my hardware? It worked well with my old Plasma TV.
Do you think there is a compatibility issue with new 4K TVs and older
hardware? As I said it worked well with my old TV.

Do you think if I get this new media player, I will not have the blinking problem?

Return that Monster cable POS.

Monoprice is all you need to remember. They even sell on Amazon now.

http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-24AW.../dp/B001UN7FKO

This one is rated for 2K, 4K and 3D(all).

You also need to remember your an early adapter All the source devices are have to play catch-up to the Display devices in the new 4K world.

CEH

Just picked up a Synology 214Play NAS, blows away my old Netgear Stora NAS!

My samsung un55f7450 tv won't turn on

Hi I am new to the thread. I bought this tv about two months ago all went well. Tonight when I come home the tv won't turn on. I replaced remote batteries also check manual to turn on the tv on button on the lower right at the back. Also take out plug and try other wall socket won't turn on. It appears the lower bottom right sensor is not on.

I know there is a big thunderstorm in our area tonight? Is this possible damage my tv?

Anyone has any idea?

Thanks

Try pressing the standby button on the right side of the remote and then pressing power.
Different note, I saw some experienced some clouding and light bleed with their sets. Mine has very little light bleed but I do see clouding in some scenarios it looks like too much brightness and a lack of contrast. Also how is anyone's experience with viewing angles, mine is quite poor. Sitting 7 to 9 feet away and 2 feet off center of one can notice slight different in picture(brightness, colors...) anyone else experience this or did I get a defective set? Un55f7500 thanks in advance for your comments

I made sure all eco and dimming settings are off and tested it with various settings on dynamic standard and movie presets and even tried game mode but it kept happening. I read something about turning off "dimming" in service menu and while I was able to access the service menu I couldn't really see any dimming options and didn't feel comfortable digging around in it too much. Any help is appreciated because its driving me nuts.
Hi halper. I'm from Argentina and I recently bought a UN46F7500. I wonder if you could guide me how to access to service menu.
The remote control is with pad without numbers.
Thanks in advance.
