Based on great reviews and an eggcellent deal, I just got a Benq GW2450 (notHM). Using either the monitor's own controls, or the AMD Catalyst (I have onboard HD4200) controls, I can get a nice enough desktop, tho I still have some problems between sharp text and rich colors. But when I go to HBOGO, the dark scenes are almost invisible. I can turn up gamma or brightness, but that will wash out the picture. Can anyone recommend settings that offer good overall results? For now I used Catalyst to set up custom profiles that I can hotkey to, but I have to think I am doing something wrong, and I haven't been able to find a good discussion anywhere on setting up this monitor.
