I can't speak about Call of Duty/etc, but I definitely see ghosting and blur in FIFA 14 PS3 on the 55 X900a.
Even in offline mode, when the players move quickly (as in sprint) or when the ball is crossed, there is a ton of resolution loss and everything sort of looks blurry. When players are still, everything looks fine.
Its not so much "input lag" as it is motion-blur. I never noticed any blur playing the same game on a 46" Sony V4100 (60hz set from 2008). In fact, I would sometimes forget to change to game mode on the V4100 and I still would not have any blur.
I'm not an expert, but its seems like the motion blur due to playing games at their non-native resolution. I remember reading the 2560 * 1440 monitor reviews on Anandtech and they would always have a section about the monitors scaling ability. So playing a game at 1080p would require the monitor to scale to its native resolution and would cause ghosting.
Now the scaling would not be so much an issue with regular 1080p content since the TV does so much processing in the standard/cinema modes. But it game mode, most of the processing is turned off, so would that mean its not scaling the 1080p/720p game as well as it would scale a blu-ray?
Other than gaming, I have no issues with the picture quality on the x900a.
